Spotlight: iPhoto '11: The Missing Manual

New iPhoto '11 Book and Hands-On Workshop in Boulder, CO

I'm thrilled to say that I finalized my latest book, iPhoto '11: The Missing Manual, this past weekend. Yippee! It's off to the printer and should hit book store shelves in late March, though you can pre-order it on Amazon now (wherein it should ship to you on March 30).

I've been working with David Pogue on this book for many years in a production capacity, preparing screen shots and tech editing (in fact, iPhoto '08 and iPhoto '09 featured my balloon photography). However, this past fall I was thrilled to be chosen as David's coauthor and thatchanged everything.

As coauthor, I was able to pour over every word in the whole book, updating and fleshing out sections that needed it, deleting non-relevant tips, and writing about the new features. I also took the opportunity to create all new screen shots which really freshened the look of the book as a whole. This version also has more pages than the last version and will be printed on higher quality paper so the full-color figures look their very best. I can't wait to see it!

So to celebrate the new book, the wonderful folks at Mike's Camera are having me teach a hands-on iPhoto '11 workshop in their Boulder store classroom.

The two-hour class is on Wednesday, March 9 from 6:30-8:30 pm. If you register by tomorrow, March 2, the price is $49. If you register later, it's $59. Either way it's one heck of a deal! To find out more or to register, you can click here to visit the Mike's Camera web site. Hope to see you there!
